Private clinics that gave PIP breast implants to women should offer to remove them free of charge, according to health secretary

Around 40,000 women in the UK are believed to have received implants manufactured by defunct French company Poly Implant Prostheses using non-medical grade silicon.
A new review conducted by a group of experts headed by Professor Sir Bruce Keogh , the NHS medical director, has concluded there is insufficient evidence to recommend the routine removal of the implants or to link them to cancer.
