Former health secretaries Andrew Lansley and Andy Burnham have denied they sought to suppress criticism of a hospital where mothers and babies died.
Mr Lansley, now leader of the House of Commons, is accused of threatening to sack a whistleblower who threatened to expose how health watchdog the Care Quality Commission was failing patients.
