Conservative MP Andrew Lansley has reportedly claimed up to £6,000 of taxpayers’ money for hotel stays in London, despite owning a home just a 15-minute walk away from Westminster.
Mr Lansley, who also serves as the leader of the House of Commons, owns a home in upmarket Pimlico, which is just one mile from Parliament.
He also owns a house near the village of Royston, in his constituency of South Cambridgeshire, which is only a 34-minute train ride from central London.
